This means that when something frustrating happens in the future, such as waiting in line at the grocery store, instead of feeling immediately irritated like before meditation, you can respond with patience and self-control.


Meditation is not always easy to do, yet it's one of the most rewarding things we'll ever experience in our lives. Our minds are hard-wired to jump around in a million directions at once and meditation teaches us how to focus on what's important so that we can be more successful.


The most important thing is to make a commitment to a regular practice. Meditation is a blessing of patience, joy, and happiness that anyone can experience by simply sitting for as little as ten minutes each day.


One technique suggests, that rather than focusing on thoughts, place your focus on the space between your thoughts. This way, you can learn to be in the moment and not experience the stress that comes from having a million thoughts racing through your head.


Seems simple, doesn't it? It's not. It is difficult to stop your mind from racing and following every thought, but the more you practice meditation, the easier it becomes.

This is because by focusing on our breath for a few minutes each day we can clear away all other thoughts that may be preventing us from thinking clearly or being patient with others.
